I explore issues of marginalized subcultures\, stereotypes\, and  \ncoded language. The work challenges the way American culture perceives  \nand judges groups of people\, as well as the way groups of people  \ninteract with one another. SUMMARY:Opening: Silver Thaw
DESCRIPTION:The Enterprise Center Gallery presents Silver Thaw\, an exhibition of collaborative work between Kansas City\, Missouri based artist Rain Harris and Louisiana Tech Assistant Professor of Studio Art Kyle Triplett. Triplett and Harris’s artwork\, an ongoing series of large format backlit digital prints\, began this past summer as a result of Triplett’s proposed project as a Resident Artist at Red Star Studios in Kansas City\, Missouri.  The digital prints\, presented as diptychs\, center around both artists interest in the layering of information within the natural and artificial experience of landscape and place. Work will be on display October 9th – 30th with an opening reception October 9th from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm.  The Enterprise Center Gallery\, located at 509 West Alabama Avenue\, Ruston\, open Monday through Friday from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.  Please contact Hannah Bustamante at 257-5281 for more information or visit www.latechinnovation.org.
