DESCRIPTION:The Enterprise Center Gallery presents Silver Thaw\, an exhibition of collaborative work between Kansas City\, Missouri based artist Rain Harris and Louisiana Tech Assistant Professor of Studio Art Kyle Triplett. I explore issues of marginalized subcultures\, stereotypes\, and  \ncoded language. The work challenges the way American culture perceives  \nand judges groups of people\, as well as the way groups of people  \ninteract with one another. While some pieces intentionally and  \nconsciously use stereotypes as a critique of their absurdity\, others  \nexplore the issues through personal narratives.\n\nhttp://kristinnowlin.com\n/\nArtist Talk with Diana Synatzske\nOctober 8\, 2015 at 2pm in VAC 103\n\nhttp://dianasynatzske.com\n\n\n/\nAll events will be at the FJ Taylor Visual Arts Center / Louisiana Tech University\n/\nFor more information:\n\n\nNicole Duet\nGallery Director\nSchool of Design\n318-257-3681\nnduet@latech.edu
