SUMMARY:COVEN: BFA Studio Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:The School of Design at Louisiana Tech University is pleased to announce the opening of the group exhibition COVEN\, featuring new works of the 2019 Bachelor of Fine Arts degree candidates. COVEN will open at Upstairs Gallery in Monroe (135 Art Alley) on February 7th\, 2019 with a reception from 5-9 pm. Eight artists will to be featured in the the exhibition: Emily Edwards\, Chlese Jiles\, Jordyn Houldridge\, Cinthia Rincon\, Kailee Rivera\, Meredith Spence\, Iris Torres\, and Skylar Vickery. The collection of work includes paintings based on mental health\, paintings of childhood\, weavings\, Latinx content\, musical inspirations\, sculpture collages\, animations\, and a macabre church installation. The artists will be present to discuss the work at the opening reception.
