Artist Books to be featured in National Exhibition

Five handmade artist’s books by Louisiana Tech School of Art Assistant Professor and Photography Area Coordinator Frank Hamrick will be featured in a two-person exhibition at the SFCC Photography Gallery in Spokane, Washington. This exhibition will coincide with the Society for Photographic Education Northwest Regional Conference in November. Hamrick is a member of SPE’s south central region. He was invited to submit his work when a peer from the south central region relocated to the northwest region. Hamrick’s artist’s books will be paired in the exhibition with work by Katherine Rhodina, who uses the 19th century wet plate collodion process to capture her images on sheets of glass. Hamrick stated, “I met Katherine Rhodina at a national conference a couple of years ago and am always excited to see her artwork. I am delighted to be included in this two-person exhibition with her.”
