Printmaking Exhibition in the VAC Galleries
The Louisiana Tech School of Design is pleased to announce the 2017 Louisiana International Printmaking Exhibition, juried by Ben Hickey, Curator of Collections and Exhibitions at the Masur Museum of Art, Monroe, LA.
The 2017 Louisiana International Printmaking Exhibition presents a survey of contemporary printmaking, with artists from the United States and Canada. This exhibition gives an overview of the wide range of exciting techniques and subject matter of contemporary printmaking. Techniques span the spectrum of printmaking from traditional lithography, intaglio, relief and screen print to new methods employing laser cutters and animation. Subject matter ranges from abstraction to representation.
The School of Design is also very excited to host this exhibition in conjunction with the 5th Annual “This Printmaking Thing We Are Doing: An Undergraduate Printmaking Symposium.” This printmaking symposium celebrates and provides undergraduate students studying printmaking the opportunity to be part of the exciting printmaking community with in the State of Louisiana and provides them the opportunity to share their personal printmaking research, creativity, and innovation developed on their academic campuses.
