De Paola Presents at AIA Shreveport

Dr. Pasquale De Paola, Howard Endowed Professor of Architecture at Louisiana Tech University, was recently invited by AIA Shreveport to discuss recent environmental research and design work completed in senior-level architectural studios. The projects presented discussed issues of hydrology and resiliency as it relates to the Ouachita and Red River watersheds as well as adaptability and planning for post-disaster recovery. According to Dr. De Paola, “students were introduced to the urban design process, while considering the making of resilient space as a defining aspect of urban design practice.”
