RE/centering: New Visions for LA Tech’s George T. Madison Hall

This year, Master of Architecture students were charged with imagining and comprehensively designing a new Center for Liberal Arts to replace George T Madison Hall. Home for the College of Liberal Arts, the new building would exist as an important node for the students on campus, providing classrooms, assembly halls, study spaces, and much needed exterior gathering spaces for the campus. Each architecture student, starting from an individual statement of their design philosophy, pursued a design as their response to the needs of the University and the College. The results are a myriad of solutions, from the contextual to the radical.
