More or Less: The BFA candidate exhibition
More or Less, an exhibition of artwork by Louisiana Tech School of Design BFA candidates, will be on view at the F. Jay Taylor Visual Arts Center galleries on the Louisiana Tech University campus from May 8th-12th, 2017. The exhibition is a capstone project by ten senior Bachelor of Fine Art students. The work depicts inquiries into identity, memory, and emotions, estimating answers while accepting subjectivity, inspiring the title for the show. This group of artists includes Janelle Cobb, Whitney Durrett, Catherine Hunter, Alaycia Moore, Reagan Pearson, Sarah Prescott, Kody Robinson, Sarah Smith, Maggie Torbet, and Christina Wong. They also showed as a group earlier this year at the Upstairs Gallery in Monroe, and were featured in the March issue of Delta Style. Opening with a public reception on May 8th from 5-9pm, the work will be shown in the Moffett and Bethea galleries in the F. Jay Taylor Visual Arts Center on Tech Drive in Ruston. Gallery hours are Monday – Friday, 9am – 4pm. For more information, please email Whitney Durrett at LATechBFA@gmail.com, or visit the La Tech BFA Facebook page.
