Tenure Track Position: Assistant Professor of Art History
Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience. Compensation includes full benefits.

Start Date: September 1, 2022
Duties:
• Teach undergraduate- and graduate-level art history coursework with a full-time teaching load of 24 credit hours per academic year
• Lead the instruction of the Art History Survey coursework, Graphic Design History, upper-division coursework and graduate seminars including the subjects of Modern and Contemporary Issues in Art
• Serve on graduate student committees
• Pursue professional research record
• Participate in development and growth of the School of Design Programs
• Engage in service to the School, University, community, and professional organizations
• Contribute to the School of Design’s Gallery and Exhibition Series
• Candidates whose research addresses Modern and Contemporary art and design from a global perspective are especially encouraged to apply
Required Qualifications:
• Ph.D. in Art History. Degree conferred before September 2022
• University/College teaching experience
• Research record demonstrating professional recognition of intellectual work and/or dissertation
• Broad knowledge of art and design history; traditional and contemporary issues and theories
• Strong written and oral communication skills

The School of Design at Louisiana Tech University offers three undergraduate degree programs, the Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies, the Bachelor of Interior Design, the Bachelor of Fine Arts and two graduate degree programs, the Master of Architecture and the Master of Fine Arts. These degree programs currently are accredited for the maximum terms by their respective accreditation agencies: NAAB, CIDA & NASAD. Enrollment of the School of Design is approximately 450 full-time students and is served by a full-time faculty of 30.
