Advancing Realism

Congratulations to Communication Design Associate Professor Jerry Berg on having his work selected for the eighth annual International Guild of Realism Juried Exhibition. This event will be held at the Tempe Center for the Arts in Tempe, Arizona and will open on October 6, 2013.

In an article about this important show in the October issue of American Art Collector, Berg talks about his work, “Flora is a modern realization of techniques used in 13^th and 14^th century altar paintings and frames. Both the gilding on the frame and within the painting are water gilding using traditional techniques.”

Also included in this exhibition is work by Louisiana Tech University School of Art alumnus Daniel Mark Cassity.
