Phoebe Allen

It’s with sadness to inform everyone that Phoebe Allen Mathys, Professor Emerita of the School of Design, passed away Sunday (5/1) morning after a long illness. She left her imprint on our School through her decades of teaching and touched the lives of countless students during her tenure at Louisiana Tech University. She truly and deeply loved our University and our School. She was incredibly talented, caring, fiery, passionate and … undeniably Phoebe.

Funeral Visitation (noon until 12:45pm) and Service (1:00pm) are planned for Wednesday, 4 May at Northminster Church in Monroe (2701 Lamy Lane).
