Students earn awards for research

Congratulations to these students in the School of Design for being selected as First and Second Place winners at the 2017 Research Symposium at Louisiana Tech University. Sarah Prescott (left) is a senior Studio Art major and earned 2nd Place for her oral presentation “Body, Memory, and Paint (Advisor: Nicole Duet).” Sam Crossland (center) and Jed Walpole, both seniors in Architectural Studies, earned 1st Place for their oral presentation “Hero’s Launch (Advisors: Brad Deal and Robert Brooks).” These students have also been invited to present at the 2017 University of Louisiana System Academic Summit to be held next month in Hammond.
