The 2021 Thesis Exhibition “Cognizance” will feature work by Masters of Fine Art candidate Paul Trichel.  The photographs included in this exhibition explore the concept of self-reflection in order to find one’s place in the world.  Using fruits and flowers as surrogates for the artist, the images explore themes of loneliness, isolation, and the need to belong within a community.

The exhibit opens on Tuesday, October 26 at 5:30 pm.  Trichel will provide his thesis presentation at 5pm in VAC 103. The candidate will discuss his creative practice, his influences, and his contemporary context with an audience driven question and answer session, followed by the opening reception.  Masks are required.
