Johnston to present lecture & review ComDes portfolios
Melanie Baecht Johnston will visit the School of Art on Thursday, 11/15 to critique student corporate identity campaigns from the Art 361/Identity Systems classes. She’ll also make a presentation of her work and speak to students about the current job market in this region and on preparing an effective job search portfolio. Her talk will be in room 103 of the TVAC from 10:45-11:45 and all Tech students and the public are invited.
Melanie is a senior designer STUN Design & Interactive in Baton Rouge. She joined the STUN team in 2005 as a graphic designer. The only LA Tech alum in an office of Tigers, she catches a lot of slack, but dishes it right back out with practical jokes and zombie curses. In her spare time, she is a super mom to 6-year-old Drayln, 15-month old Kyler, and husband Dirk. She specializes in logo design, page layout designs, invitations, illustrations, print advertising, and hand-made designs. By competing for STUN in the Baton Rouge Advertising Federation ADDYs she has won four gold and 13 silver awards. We welcome Melanie to the School of Art and congratulate her on a successful career.
