The School of Design is happy to welcome Craig Schwitter to the Louisiana Tech University campus.
Craig Schwitter is a structural engineer and principal of BuroHappold Engineering in New York City. BuroHappold is known for ingenious engineering solutions for some of the most daring buildings being constructed today. As an international firm, BuroHappold has worked with world renowned architects on iconic buildings across the globe, emphasizing unique structural systems, green solutions, and integrated design. Mr. Schwitter established the first BuroHappold office in the United States, and also is an associate professor at Columbia University. Mr. Schwitter will lecture on the future of engineering in architecture, with a specific focus on performative building envelopes. Projects he will present include the new Atlanta Falcons retractable domed stadium and the Louvre Museum in Abu Dhabi by Jean Novel.
